SCADpro x COBHAM
OBJECTIVE
Collaborate with Film, Motion Media, and Advertising majors to create a Brand film for Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions (AES). Since we were completing this assignment remotely we had to compile stock footage combined with motion media to create this film. Secondary objective was to create ad deliverables for Cobham to use.
CONCEPT
Cobham AES handles the microchips, amongst many other things, that go into spaceships. These microchips protect the spacecraft and astronauts from the dangers of space like radiation and solar flares. The film focuses on the idea of survival and how Cobham allows the spacecraft to “Survive Beyond Limits”. Ultimately the film revolves around the idea of a little girl growing up to become the first astronaut on the mission to mars, the ultimate goal. She achieves this goal with the help of Cobham AES and their ability to survive virtually anything.
DESIGN & DELIVERABLES
This campaign used strong imagery of space to capture the reality of life outside Earth. The art direction was copy focused and was kept simple for the company to get their message across.Deliverables the graphics team worked on was the brand film poster, blueprints featured in the film, secondary print ads, and social ads.

Movie Poster

As a farewell gift and another add on to the movie we made, the team decided we wanted to give the Cobham members we worked with a gift. This gift was in appreciation of everything they did and how they helped out.
I designed the poster to look just like any movie poster would look like and added all of our names as well as the Cobham team members as well.
Blueprint Designs
Some of the blueprints can be found in the film, during the desk scene and at the end on the laptop screen on Mars. They were printed out and all were originally seen in the scene, but after some edits only one made it in.
Secondary Deliverables

While the main team was editing and creating the motion graphics for the film Anthony Lieberman and myself worked with William PC Marsh to come up with the copy for some secondary deliverables. These print ads were not required for our due date with Cobham, but were more another factor to help back up the film

Following the print ads we created an out of home ad that would be great to get the Cobham name out there and give people a chance to learn more and post the mural on their social media. Secondly, we recreated Cobham AES's Instagram posting the ads to support the film and made a twitter post with a call to action.
